H.R.H. Princess Abze Djigma held the openings keynote speech on behalf of the private sector during the ECOSOC Integration Segment 2016 at the UN Headquarters in New Orr

The 2016 ECOSOC Integration Segment took place from 2 to 4 May 2016, at the United Nations Headquarters in New York.

Heads of State and government, ministers and mayors, and representatives of UN agencies, civil society, academia and the private sector exchanged lessons learned and recommendations for policy innovation and integration to guide the implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, during the UN Economic and Social Council’s (ECOSOC) Integration Segment 2016.

At the start of the 3 days conference H.R.H. Princess Abze Djigma gave a business perspective about the role and the importance of the local private sector and the informal sector in developing countries. She called for translating information, policies and measures into respective national languages. She added that vocational training can help match the needs of industries, improve the quality of entrepreneurship and secure inclusive green-growth business.
