H.R.H. Princess Abze Djigma attended COP22 as a part of the Burkina Faso delegation and participated in many sessions.

At the Marrakech Climate Change Conference – November 2016 (7-18 November), nations of the world continued their work on strengthening the global response to the threat of climate change, with the central focus placed on enhancing ambition, promoting implementation and providing support.

Marrakech marked a turning point because the landmark Paris Climate Change Agreement entered into action during the conference.

H.R.H. Princess Abze Djigma was a speaker at  the World Climate Summit 2016 in Marrakech in the session: Low Carbon solutions as the Business Catalyst of the 21st Century. In this session she introduced the “greening-up” concept and she highlighted the importance to recognise Africa as a lab of research and development and stressed the importance of giving the means to the informal sector to empower them to unleash African’s future global enterprises. H.R.H. Princess Abze Djigma participated in the panel “Towards a policy context for skills development in transition to green economies” Organized by the UNESCO TVET Section and UNESCO- UNEVOC during Education Day at COP22.

H.R.H. Princess Abze Djigma was the keynote speaker at the International Forum “Greening technical and vocational
 education curriculum and training (TVET): institutional approaches for climate change action.
