“Meeting of the Minds” at COP25

While momentum for global climate action is rising, we need much more ambition and implementation of action. Following the publication of the International Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) Special Report on Global Warming of 1.5 degrees Celsius, the urgency of action to limit the global average temperature rise to 1.5 degrees Celsius has been widely recognized.

This urgency has led to the declaration of climate emergencies in a growing number of countries and cities. This reality has been widely acknowledged but global ambition is still not strong enough and the pace of action is too slow to achieve the objectives of the Paris Agreement.

This special Global Climate Action event “Meeting of the minds – making climate action real” at COP25 did a deep dive into what really matters if we want to see the transformation of our world into one that is sustainable and prosperous for all.
