H.R.H. Princess Abze Djigma participated in several sessions during the 2017 Vienna energy Forum

The Vienna Energy Forum 2017 (VEF 2017) brought together 1650 participants, including heads of State, ministers, energy experts, representatives of international and non-governmental organizations, academia, civil society and the private sector. The forum contributed to the successful implementation of the SDGs and the Paris Agreement. It served as a platform for discussing and highlighting the importance of the linkages between climate and development as well as the synergies among the SDGs, and the importance of joint and integrated approaches for a successful implementation.

H.R.H. Princess Abze Djigma was one of the  high-level speakers together with at the high-level executive dinner discussion, organised by the Financial Times (FT) in association with UNIDO and IIASA to discuss the critical role the clean energy sector has to play in advancing the world’s sustainable development agenda. Here she advocated how affordable and sustainable energy creates and drives youth and women employment.
