Access to energy alone is not enough. To fulfil the Agenda 2030 of the Sustainable Development Goals, the 2063 Agenda of the African Union and the Paris Agreement on Climate change, sustainable energy need to be imbedded in local communities and local people need to be trained how they can get and make use of the increased productivity. To make this happen the H.R.H. Princess Abze Djigma Foundation supports the Initiative MAMA-LIGHT® for Sustainable Energy and other projects and activities within local communities that:
- Provide access to affordable and sustainable energy solutions locally;
- Train local people locally to install and maintain basic energy solutions;
- Train and coach local women and youth to set up their businesses and to grow their business using light and energy as an accelerator.
